Add password protection to your PDF. Set a strong password to prevent unauthorised access — the encryption happens entirely in your browser and your file is never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
How strong is the password protection?
The encryption uses AES-128, the standard for PDF protection. Choose a long, unique password — the stronger your password, the harder it is to crack the encryption.
What if I forget the password?
We cannot recover it for you. The password is applied during the encryption process on your device and we never see or store it. Keep your password in a safe place.
Can I set different permissions (e.g. print but not edit)?
Currently the tool applies full password protection that requires the password to open the PDF. Granular permission settings may be added in a future update.
Processed in your browser
Your PDF is processed entirely in your browser. It is never uploaded to any server, and we cannot see or access your files.
